Collection: The Grand Tour

This collection is part of the artist's new project discovering and discussing the Grand Tour, offering  reflections on the tradition of travel as an educational and cultural exchange, where travellers brought home new ideas and artistic influences, contributing to European culture. Lambert-Phillips invites contemporary visitors to become travellers again rather than tourists, encouraging them to draw lessons from the past as they explore the world in more meaningful ways asking the question, ‘what can we learn from the travellers of the past?’
