Adopt an olive tree from our Villa la Posta olive grove and connect with the rich agricultural heritage of Tuscany. Your name—or your family’s name—will be inscribed on the tree, which will be lovingly tended by our team. Each tree yields approximately 10 litres of extra virgin olive oil annually, delivered straight to your home.

Adopting an olive tree means more than receiving premium olive oil. It is an opportunity to restore uncultivated and abandoned land, contributing to the preservation of Tuscany’s iconic landscapes and its cultural heritage.

Terms and Conditions for the “Adopt an Olive Tree” Program

Thank you for your interest in adopting an olive tree in Tuscany through our exclusive “Adopt an Olive Tree” program. Below are the terms and conditions that govern the adoption of an olive tree, the production of olive oil, and the updates you will receive as part of your adoption. By participating in this program, you agree to these terms.

1. Adoption of Olive Tree

• Adoption Process: Once your adoption is confirmed and payment is processed, you will receive a certificate of adoption and be assigned an olive tree located on our farm in Tuscany.
• Tree Assignment: Each adoption entitles you to one specific olive tree on our farm. Trees are assigned based on availability at the time of adoption. You will receive the name of your tree and its exact location within the olive grove.

2. Olive Oil Production

• Annual Yield: Your adopted tree will produce approximately 10 litres of olive oil per year, depending on seasonal conditions and the health of the tree. The yield may vary slightly year-to-year based on factors such as climate, weather conditions, and agricultural practices.
• Harvesting and Processing: The olives from your adopted tree will be harvested during the annual olive harvest (typically in October or November). After harvesting, the olives will be cold-pressed at our mill to produce high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
• Oil Production Guarantee: While we aim to produce 10 liters of oil per tree annually, this is a general estimate and is subject to natural factors. In the event that the yield is below the anticipated amount, we will notify you and offer a partial refund or an alternative compensation option.

3. Olive Oil Delivery

• Annual Oil Shipment: Once the oil has been produced, you will receive your 10 liters of olive oil. The oil will be packaged in high-quality bottles and shipped directly to the address provided at the time of adoption.
• Shipping Costs: Shipping is included in the price for domestic deliveries within Italy. For international shipments, additional shipping costs may apply and will be communicated at the time of purchase.
• Packaging: The olive oil will be sent in 500ml glass bottles, each with a label bearing your tree’s name and adoption certificate.

4. Updates and Communication

• Photographs and Updates: You will receive annual updates, including photographs of your olive tree and the farm. These updates will be sent via email or through a designated online portal. Updates will also include details on the tree’s health, the harvest, and the olive oil production process.
• Video Updates: You may also receive video updates from the farm showing the progress of the tree and key moments during the harvest season, such as the picking and pressing of the olives.

5. Terms of Use and Tree Care

• Tree Maintenance: Villa la Posta is responsible for the care and maintenance of the olive tree. This includes pruning, watering, and any necessary treatments to ensure the health and productivity of the tree.
• No Physical Access: As an olive tree adopter, you will not have access to the farm unless otherwise stated. Visits to the farm and tree may be available as part of exclusive events or upon special request and must be arranged in advance.

6. Duration of Adoption

• Adoption Period: The adoption is valid for a period of one year, beginning on the date of the adoption. The adoption can be renewed annually, subject to availability and renewal terms.
• Renewal Process: Renewal of the adoption is not automatic. You will be contacted prior to the expiration of your adoption period with the option to renew for another year.

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellation: If you wish to cancel your adoption within 14 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund. After the 14-day period, cancellations are not eligible for a refund.
• Non-Refundable Fees: Any costs related to shipping, special requests, or services outside the standard adoption package are non-refundable.

8. Liability and Disclaimer

• Liability: Villa la Posta is not liable for any damage or loss of the olive tree or its production due to natural disasters, severe weather conditions, or unforeseen agricultural circumstances. In the event of exceptional circumstances that impact the harvest or oil production, we will provide you with updates and compensation options.
• Natural Variability: Olive oil production may fluctuate year-to-year depending on a variety of factors beyond our control, including weather, pests, and diseases. While we strive to ensure consistent production, there may be occasions when the yield is lower than expected.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

• Data Usage: The information you provide during the adoption process, including contact details and shipping information, will be used exclusively for processing the adoption and delivering your olive oil. We will not share or sell your personal information to third parties.
• Communication: By participating in the adoption program, you agree to receive regular updates and communication related to your adoption. You can opt out of receiving marketing or non-essential communications at any time.

10. Governing Law

• This agreement and all activities related to the "Adopt an Olive Tree" program are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Florence, Italy.

11. Acceptance
